Tammy, Tassie’s sister, posted the following on Facebook………
Woke up in a great mood, after work today I’m going to help Jeff & Kaycee Campbell, get Tassie’s house all ready for her to come home! The doorways have been widened for her chair, bathtub gone now has a huge shower! She is coming home tomorrow….YAY!! We are all so excited, what a wonderful Thanksgiving we will have!!!
Is that great news or what? Let’s all keep praying for total restoration in Tassie’s body. Remember, “NOTHING is impossible with God!” Luke 1:37

“For nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37 NLT)
I know it has been several weeks since we last posted an update on Tassie, so here we go. We were able to spend some time with Tassie a couple of weeks ago at her mom and dad’s home. It was a great day for her, she was very alert and full of laughter. We told stories and she LAUGHED a lot. I am not sure if I have told you that she is now at a facility in Galveston doing her rehab. She gets to come home during the day on the weekends. Sometimes she goes out to the movies with her family, out to eat, and has even taken a trip to her previous hair salon where she has worked for years. The ladies there were so kind and loving to her. She even got her hair done! She has been to church, gotten her nails done, and spent numerous hours with family and friends. Jeff and the kids remain constant and faithful as well as Jeannie and Floyd along with her sisters and family. They all take turns taking her food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I did not realize she was such a picky eater! LOL!
She really is doing very well. There are some days that are better than others, but all in all, she is doing great. We all continue to stand strong on the Word of God that says, “NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE.” So we do just that! We believe. The family thanks all of you who have prayed for Tassie. They know there is power in prayer. So, if you would continue to pray for Tassie, I know we will eventually see her completely healed. By the way, for those of you who KNOW her, her favorite saying is STILL, “OH GOD!” And when she says it, it’s with that same attitude we all know to be classic Tassie; I love it!
It has been a while since we have posted an update, but Tassie continues to work hard towards regaining her mobility. Here are some things that Jeannie said Tassie is now doing. She can pull herself down the hall in her wheelchair with her foot. She is putting more weight on her left foot and leg as she stands with the help of her aids. Some days are better than others and on her good days she talks more, and is more involved with therapy. But other days, just like some of us….we just don’t want to!
Tassie continues to improve with her eating, I hear that at times she has quite the sense of humor. The doctors have said that no two brain injuries are the same so there is no way of knowing what to expect about what’s going on with Tassie. Although we who TRUST in the One who KNOWS all, we continue to believe what the Word of God says in 1Peter 24. “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
We need to continue to pray for Tassie to make improvements with her therapy. When she is improving there is a greater chance for her to remain in this facility. TIRR is rated one of the best rehab facilities in our area. So please continue to pray for her to make improvements daily. Tassie’s family, parents, and friends are very involved in Tassie’s everyday routine. They are there daily, going with her to therapy sessions, caring for her in every way and even spending the night with her. They are in this thing for the long haul. So please pray for their needs to be met, along with their physical ability to continue to be with her.
I know how much Jeannie and Floyd along with her family appreciate all of your prayers and support. Without your kind words and encouraging posts (which they read to Tassie when they come in) it would be very hard for them to be doing this alone. So thank you so much for your love. We will post again when things come up, until then we pray always for Tassie’s complete recovery and the strength of her family.
God Bless you all,
Here is an update on Tassie since her surgery. The surgery went well, and she is back at TIRR for her rehab. It took her a couple of days to get back into the grove of things but when I spoke to Jeannie today, she said she is doing great. She has been talking and working with her therapist every day. We are excited to see her progress from here on. She is such a fighter, and strong woman. And she is surrounded by such a supportive family and so many friends.
Thank you for continuing to believe for her complete restoration.
We just heard from Floyd that Tassie’s surgery went well. The doctors replaced the flap and put in a few draining tubes which went according to their plan? They will keep her overnight for observation before send her back to TIRR. So, as you can see, our prayers are working.
Thank you soooooooo much for all your prayers, encouragement, and support.

Jeannie and Floyd were so grateful for the turnout at the benefit for Tassie yesterday. You guys are awesome. I know if Tassie could have been there she would have been overwhelmed by the love and support that was shown by everyone. So thank you to all of you who helped, donated, bought items, and especially for the team that put it all together. You are Team Awesome!
OK, here is the latest on Tassie and what is coming up. First they were able to feed Tassie REAL food yesterday, yes that’s right the good stuff. Chocolate Pudding! She was able to handle the things she ate with no problem. So that is great news! We need to be praying for her upcoming surgery that will take place on tomorrow (Monday). The doctors are going in to replace the flap in her skull that has been out to allow the swelling to go completely down. So thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support. You are appreciated!
PS – Tammy (Tassie’s sister) posted the following on Facebook about the benefit yesterday.
